A hopeless attempt to sum up multi-dimensional characters in so many words.

Faith Morgan
For anyone who has ever been unfortunate enough to be teased or bullied at one point in his/her life, there is Faith. Like most victims, she’s done nothing to deserve the mistreatment by her peers. Though shy, Faith has a very kind and caring nature. Perhaps it was this and the other kids her age shunning her that made her love animals so much, particularly cats. As an intellectual child, Faith enjoys reading and art. She lives with her older Sister Sara, who is the only mother and father she’s ever known. Her relationship with her sister means more to Faith than anything in the world……….oh yeah, and she also has cat ears instead of normal human ears…not that that’s out of the ordinary or anything.

Faith has never had any friends before, outside of her tiny family and her sister’s friends. So when she first met Hope, she didn’t quite know how to react. While happy to have finally made a friend, she can’t help but feel bewildered and apprehensive of this unknown territory. These feelings were only magnified when she came to find out that Hope would be living with her sister and her from now on…wait, WHAT!?

Hope Avelina
Though they didn’t know it at the time, the word “eccentric” was created to define young Hope. As a child of wealthy parents who were more concerned with enjoying their money than taking care of a child, Hope spent a great deal of time alone and was mostly raised by waiters and butlers. Unlike our reserved Faith, who is content spending her time in the background, Hope has always actively sought out the friendship of anyone who comes near her. Unfortunately, due to her family’s frequent moving, she was never giving a chance to make any longstanding friendships.

Finally deciding Hope was too much of a burden on their extravagant lifestyle, the Avelinas abandoned Hope, leaving behind all her custody paperwork figuring one of the maids or butlers would take her into their own care. However, since they were no longer getting paid, they cared for the young girl about as much as her parents did. Upon seeing this, Faith’s older sister Sara took it upon herself to become Hope’s guardian.

Dispite everything, Hope is eternally the optimist and is hardly ever seen without a beaming smile on her face. What she lacks in social tact, she makes up for in her vast imagination. She enjoys frolicking and hates standing still for any length of time.

Sara Morgan
Sara is Faith’s loving, older sister. When she was younger, her parents were both killed in an unfortunate accident. Sara and her baby sister were looked after by their Aunt Desirae for a while, but once Sara was old enough, she took over as Faith’s primary caregiver. This comes from her mother’s dying words instructing Sara to watch over her sister, which she tales VERY seriously. If Faith’s caring nature comes from anywhere, it would definitely be her sister. Sara put her own life on hold to focus on Faith, and at 24 years old, she currently works two part-time jobs to make ends meat. Decent jobs are hard to find for someone without any kind of degree to speak of, but naturally there’s no time for college when there’s a younger sister to be raised. To Sara’s credit, she’s never regretted her decision and feels by taking care of Faith she really is doing something meaningful with her life.

Upon discovering Hope, the first friend Faith had ever managed to make, had been abandoned by her parents, Sara took it upon herself to adopt the young girl. While she knew this girl was practically a stranger and that her and Faith were already living pretty tightly, she saw too much of herself in Hope to pass her off to someone else. Plus, Sara couldn’t bare the thought of Faith losing her first friend so soon. So she did what she thought was right, not what was logical (she has a habit of that).

In her spare time (what she has of it), Sara isn’t happy unless a video game controller’s in her hand. That, along with her devotion to her sister, could be why she doesn’t have much of a social life to speak of. Finally, while Sara is everything Faith needs in a caregiver, despite her best efforts, she can’t cook a meal to save her life.

Desirae Passions
Desirae is the loving Aunt of Sara and Faith, as well as a former superstar in the world of adult films. While for a brief period of time one of the most popular figures in the “porn” business, her success was robbed by the very film studio she thought was taking care of her. After being used, abused, and left with nothing, Desirae worked hard to start her own adult films studio with an emphasis on the artistic and loving side of sex, rather than the dirt and the sleaze. Her vision for a studio where actors and actresses would be guaranteed a family-like atmosphere where they would be treated with respect came true when she opened “Passion Studios.” When Sara and Faith’s parents passed away, Desirae took on the roll of their primary caregiver, always being sure to keep her professional and private lives separate.

Marty Murphy
Marty is Sara’s closest friend since childhood. He’s always there to help her through the tough times and be a pillar of support. He also would like to explicitly remind everyone that he is NOT Sara’s boyfriend (end of story…so stop asking). Marty is your typical geek, getting lost in the internet, comics, and fantasy. While he may play video games, he’s come to accept he will never EVER be as good as Sara.

Kayla Reynard
Kayla is the mutual best friend of Sara and Marty’s. Unlike her two friends, Kayla actually has a life (as she likes to put it). In her spare time, she enjoys checking out the night life, as well as looking for the next boy’s heart she’s going to break (and there’s quite the list). Even if Sara’s indecision on most things frustrates her, Kayla is always supportive and holds her friendship with Sara and Marty quite dear. This, of course, won’t stop her from being fairly sarcastic towards them.
